UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” has finalised clinical trials for testing BIOMEDICAL ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT 

 

UAB Gruppo FOS Lithuania in partnership with “Lithuanian University of Health Science” and “Kaunas University of Technology” has finalised clinical trials for testing Biomedical electronic equipment of the the Post stroke monitoring multimodal system. Clinical test with 10 patients at Kaunas clinics Neurology department completed on JUL22. Bio-impedance scan reconstructions were compared to MRI and CT scan results. After additional data postprocessing by scientists of “University of Genoa” system will be able to undergo further development, based on the real data.

UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” participated in INOVABIOMED event in Verona, Italy

Innovabiomed, hosted under the roof of Veronafiere in Verona Italy, is an opportunity for experts in production of medical devices, professionals and researchers in the biomedical sector to meet, compare and share their knowledge and experiences.

INOVABIOMED is the first non-virtual event, held in Italy after COVID-19 pandemics.

UAB Gruppo FOS Lithuania participated in INOVABIOMED as exhibitor.  There was a great opportunity to present all implemented projects developed  in partnership with lithuanian and italian research institutions.

Gruppo FOS was among 4 nominated companies which showed most promising projects in biomedical engineering sector.

UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” Starts Reconect project

Last year „Gruppo FOS Lithuania“ invited 2 Italian partners (STAM and EMAC) to join and create a consortium.
The main target of consortium is to implement the DIH HERO TTE, RECONNECT project with the idea of technological transfer of a space originated mechanical transmission into a prosthetic arm prototype, to improve its mechanical characteristics, such as: precision, lightness, torque density, reliability and robustness.
STAM experience builds on 20 years of support to big players in the space and defence fields, where engineering services are tailored to the needs of long term national and international programs. STAM will improve the mechanical characteristics of prototype.
EMAC which is an Italian company, which has 40 years of experience in R&D, and provides solutions for the medical world by researching the best quality producers worldwide. EMAC will be responsible for
• Clinical needs identification
• Product design and validation
• Marketing strategy definition

 

In the picture we present how the space-originated transmission technology will be transferred to the medical robot prosthetic arm.

UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” nominated in Startups’ Innovation Awards

Kaunas Science and Technology Park presents its innovation community’s annual festive event – Startups’ Innovation Awards. This year the community features novelties for the New Normal – Kaunas STP representatives nominated 10 startups developing the most innovative products and services that help to fight pandemic challenges. Tech solutions and novatorious services were introduced to the main Lithuanian news portal Delfi and the visitors had a chance to vote. The winners were also selected by the special jury, consisting of national startup community members: Kaunas STP, Kaunas University of Technology, Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Kaunas IN agency, the company Elinta and The Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania.

On 16th of December the winners of top 3 places have been announced:

1st place: Gruppo FOS Lithuania, the developers of the biomedical electronic equipment for post-stroke monitoring;

2nd place: iDenfy, an immunity passport that gives freedom of mobility during the pandemic.

3rd place: GetFix, the platform which helps you to find needful repairer faster.

The special nomination “The biggest impact for the Kaunas startup ecosystem” went to Gruppo FOS Lithuania.

UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” participates in the Italian Economic Forum

Within the 2nd edition of the “Italian-Lithuanian Economic Forum”, organized by the Italian-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Italy in Vilnius (Lithuania), UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” participated as co-parnter of the event.

The Forum was organized to deepen the scientific, cultural and entrepreneurial dialogue between Italy and Lithuania.

The focus areas of the event were Biotechnology and Fintech, themes agreed with the aim of bringing together Italian production capacities with IT solutions and services for which Lithuania is renowned.

The event took place on the 27-29th November, 2019. Two days were dedicated to Fintech companies presented by the Italian Association of Payment Service Providers with institutional meetings and B2B meetings with local operators in the FintechInn of Vilnius.

The last day was dedicated to the main theme of Biotechnology with the participation of high-profile Italian and Lithuanian scientific speakers. During the day, UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” was able to present its success story in the field of biomedical engineering in Lithuania and its “Biomedical electronic equipment for post stroke monitoring” project, carried out thanks to the collaboration with KTU (Kauno Technologijos Universitetas) and LSMU (Lietuvos Sveikatos Mokslu Universitetas).

C1A0 Expo – Accessible Innovation is the international exhibition dedicated to Artificial Intelligence. It is organised in Genoa, in the prestigious location of Palazzo San Giorgio, on the 15th – 16th of November in 2019.

UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” presented the multi-modal system for personalized management of the post stroke rehabilitation and participated in B2B meetings with Italian innovators and innovative companies from Artificial Intelligence area.

“Technorama” is an international event that invites representatives of science and business to gather at Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania.

UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” presented the biomedical electronic prototype of brain stroke monitoring and participated in B2B meetings with innovators and innovative companies. Each year the exhibition invites more than 2000 visitors and more than 60 researchers from different universities present their innovations.

Life Sciences Baltics is the only international forum in the Baltics for world-class biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical devices experts from all around the world. The Lithuanian high-tech company UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania” was established in Kaunas Science and Technology Park, Santaka Valley. The arrival of a foreign-owned company in Kaunas was encouraged by the development of biomedical electronic equipment for post-stroke monitoring started together with Lithuanian scientists.

Lithuanian Business Support Agency (LVPA) signed the project financing agreement with UAB “Gruppo FOS Lithuania”. It will invest 503 000 Eur of EU structural funds to the project of “Biomedical electronic equipment for post stroke monitoring” according „Smartinvest LT+“ call.

September 2014, Kaunas

Kaunas University of Technology and Italian company FOS  signed a cooperation agreement

Supported by foreign investment development agency Invest Lithuania, Italian company FOS srl visited Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) and decided to establish a biomedical engineering research centre in Santaka Valley thanks to its advanced scientific infrastructure, the availability of skilled experts with the necessary scientific competences and the huge potential of KTU’s faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering students.
